Thank you my friends, for the lovely birthday remembrances!?? In Native Way, those who are celebrating a special occasion don’t receive gifts, they offer them? In that spirit I offer my Grandmother’s roses, which have been gracing my father’s ashes and urn each day…and this amazing excerpt on Love from Krishnamurti ?
More on the POTUS babbling on Fox & Friends. Trump threatens the Justice Dept. “President Donald Trump took shots at the FBI and the Justice Department during a half-hour phone interview on “Fox and Friends” Thursday morning, hinting that at “some point” he might step in and take action.
“You look at the corruption at the top of the FBI — it’s a disgrace,” Trump said. “And our Justice Department, which I try and stay away from, but at some point I won’t.”
22 women have accused Trump of sexual misconduct. He called them liars and threatened to sue them. When will the women be believed? When will Trump go to jail? Justice has been served in the Cosby case. When will it be served in the case of the President of the United States?
How many hours of sleep per day does
someone need to function at their best? ?
“Nature has not intended mankind to work from eight in the morning until midnight without that refreshment of blessed oblivion which, even if it only lasts twenty minutes, is sufficient to renew all the vital forces…
Don’t think you will be doing less work because you sleep during the day. That’s a foolish notion held by people who have no imaginations. You will be able to accomplish more. You get two days in one — well, at least one and a half,” – Winston Churchill
Einstein would practiced micro-napping, which meant that he never allowed himself to drift into stage two of sleep.
To ensure this he would sit in his favourite armchair holding a pencil or spoon and begin to doze off. If the object dropped, it would make a loud clang, which would wake him up. ✏️
Da Vinci replaced real sleep with a 15-minute naps every four hours. He critiqued those who slept a lot, saying that we have plenty of time to sleep when we die. ?
“0 sleepers! what a thing is slumber! Sleep resembles death. Ah, why then dost thou not work in such wise as that after death thou mayst retain a resemblance to perfect life, when, during life, thou art in sleep so like to the hapless dead?”.
Was walking through the JFK airport today and found these nap pods where you can take quick 20 minute power naps to recharge. ?
i don’t usually take naps…
But when i do, i take ResidualNaps.com ?
Check out this badass knight character Anton Gonzalez made for his game using the models from www.armorhead.store! Anton used both mine and Dmitry Parkin’s high-poly pieces of armor, put it together while adding his own pieces and tweaking the character along the way, then made the in-game LowPoly+UVs+Textures+Rigging and had it up and running in Unreal Engine.
Check out the original ArtStation post to see more high-res images, learn more about Anton’s process and more about the game https://www.artstation.com/artwork/4Zlk8
From the article:
"Cambridge Analytica, the data firm the Trump campaign used during the 2016 election, met with Russian business executives, The New York Times reported Saturday.
The firms’ employees had been in contact with executives from Russian oil giant Lukoil in 2014 and 2015, according to company documents.
There were reportedly three meetings with Lukoil executives in London and Turkey and Lukoil was interested in how data was used to target American voters."
Tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb 27th) at 10am PST, myself and Jamie Elizabeth Thompson will being going live on zoom with our 3rd vulnerable conversation in the Six Vulnerable Conversations between 2 Women series.
Our topic this week is “Power, Surrender and Releasing Control”.
In the days of post-feminism, many women are struggle in the belief that in order to be powerful, we need to exert control, force or dominance over those we are in relationship to–especially when it comes to romance and work.
In the workplace and social circles, a strong women is quick to be called a “bitch”, while a strong man with the same qualities might be called a “leader”. As a result, we find that many women are strongly in their “Masculine”, and faced with the ambivalence of wanting to surrender control, yet simultaneously feeling terrified of doing so.
How do we navigate this tight rope of being an empowered woman, while simultaneously embracing our softness and ability to receive?

One of the practices I’ve resisted for most of my adult life is taking care of and nourishing my body, specifically when it comes to what I eat.
Don’t get me wrong, ever since I moved out to California almost 9 years ago, if have eaten a majoritively organic diet. However, one of the most powerful coping mechanisms I’ve cultivated throughout my life is using food as a way to check out of my present reality.
Especially dense, rich foods that often contain processed sugar.
After experimenting and exploring my relationship with food (which led to my becoming a Certified Eating Psychology Coach in 2013), I realized that most of the time I was using food as a way of disconnecting from having to feel or be with whatever emotion wants to arise in the present movement.
Part of my commitment to myself while living in Hawaii is to clean out my system and embrace a diet that celebrates and supports my vitality. AND, I am not holding the belief that I will eat this way for the rest of my length. In fact, it is very likely that I will eat pizza and ice cream again.
Our diet, just like our relationships, are always an experiment, a work in progress based upon what our current set of needs and desires are. To be attached to one diet (or one relationship) never changing from its current form, inevitably sets us up for disappointment and stagnancy.
So right now, as an evolving human being, I’m currently interested in exploring what my body feels like and my life looks like when I radically change how and what I feed my Being.
If how we do one things is how we do everything, how is your relationship to food similar to your relationship with intimacy and love? I’d love to hear your reflections in the comments below.
And BTW, here’s a picture of a delicious bowl of sprouts, *hella* avocado, onion, carrot, Hawaiin garlic salt, lime juice and coconut oil. Boom. ✨
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire. ?
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance;
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.

As I prepare to depart on Saturday for a 3-month adventure to the Big Island of Hawaii, knowing that I have manifested this divinely planned yet personally unexpected experience into my life, I embrace now more than ever that I am the creator, and the catalyst for my creation is my desire.
I will share more about how I’ve learned to manifest a reality and relationships in alignment with my deepest dreams, desires and gifts.
But for now, I prepare for what will surely be an experience that will alter the course of my life in ways I cannot imagine, excited that I get to bring my work and clients with me, because that is the life I have designed for myself.
Until next time, may you live as though it were on divine purpose. Grateful for the journey, excited for its unfoldment. See you on the Big I. ??✨
While I’m living in Hawaii, a sign is being created for the event space I manage in Fairfax, CA, HeartSpace Studios, which is also where I host intimacy groups and workshops. Other skilled teachers who regularly offer workshops inlcude Padma Gordon, Tenaya Amelia, and Lauren Arrow, to name a few.
Our world is in genuine need of safe spaces to practice open, vulnerable, heart-centered expression. When we aren’t in community with people who are devoted to vulnerability practices, it’s easy to fear that we are alone, unrealistic or crazy in our desire for deeper connection with others.
I’m devoted to creating spaces where intimacy and real connection are the baseline for how we communicate, so we can bring these skills and tools out into the world and into our own networks.
Next week on Thursday, March 8th, my partner David Vondracek will be running Essential Intimacy: An Evening of Authentic Connection Games at HeartSpace. Christi Hester will be offering an embodiment mediation beforehand to help everyone to fully drop into the evening. If you’re interested, feel free to PM me to learn more.
P.S. If you’re a teacher, healer or facilitator interested in running a workshop or event at HeartSpace, feel free to private message me.
P.P.S. Thank you Tara Nejma Maus for the exquisite art that is our sign.
P.P.S I’ll be home (Fairfax) in mid-May. See you then. <3
